Natalie and Chris Engagement Session- Dunraven Bay, Wales

Natalie and Chris Engagement Session- Dunraven Bay, Wales

Dunraven Bay Engagement, Southerndown I met Natalie and Chris for their Dunraven Bay engagement session one Sunday evening. We’d been in contact for months but only managed to find the time to meet just 4 weeks before their wedding! These two are from Taunton and came up to spend the day in Wales so we could have their engagement session at Dunraven Bay. Dunraven Bay is such a gorgeous place for an engagement session. It’s on the coast, with striking cliffs, huge rocks and when the tide is out there’s sand too. But there’s also a hidden walled garden and ruins on top of the cliffs too! We were so lucky the gardens were in full bloom at this time of year. I had such a great time on this Dunraven Bay engagement session. I truly do have the best job, even after just a couple of hours with these two, I felt like we’d known each other for years. The wedding at Combe House Hotel in August is going to be... read more
Ashleigh & Lucie Sunset Garden Engagement Session- Otterbourne, Hampshire

Ashleigh & Lucie Sunset Garden Engagement Session- Otterbourne, Hampshire

Otterbourne Garden Engagement, Hampshire I had the best garden engagement session on a Sunday evening in Otterbourne. Ashleigh is a gardener and has worked on this glorious garden every week for the past 10 years. He is now a friend of the owners and they kindly let us use their garden for their engagement session! Ashleigh and Lucie also brought along their adorable dog, Noski, who comes to work with Ashleigh so knows the garden well. She was off playing with the garden owners dog too! The gardens are beautiful with a river running through the middle, a field out to the back and gorgeous flowers everywhere. It was a pleasure to get to know Ashleigh and Lucie during this garden engagement session. They’ve had an amazing 10 year relationship so far and it’s clear they are each other’s rocks. They get married at the end of September at Tithe Barn and I can’t wait to capture it... read more
Mr & Mrs Dowding- Holm House, Cardiff

Mr & Mrs Dowding- Holm House, Cardiff

Holm House Wedding What an absolutely glorious day we had for Hanne and Marc’s Holm House wedding in Penarth at the start of July. This pair tied the knot amongst their closest friends and family, most of whom had travelled from Sweden to be there! Hanne met Marc in London 10 years ago when she was travelling the UK with some friends. They decided to attend a festival where Marc’s band happened to be playing. They got talking outside the Camden venue where he invited Hanne to their next gig in London. “The rest is history! Two years later I moved over from Sweden and we have lived together since!” Marc proposed in the sweetest way; at home in their PJ’s with their dog on Christmas Eve! Hanne and Marc’s wedding was the first wedding that Hanne and her bridesmaids had been to, even as a guest! But you’d never have guessed as everything was organised perfectly. They had chosen a minimalist but oh-so-elegant theme of plain white and greenery which worked so well with Hanne’s sustainable wedding dress from Reformation! As it’s not traditional in Sweden, Hanne didn’t have her dad walk her down the aisle. Instead, Marc met her at the bottom of the stairs and they walked into their wedding ceremony together to Etta James – At Last. They married under a natural wooden arch covered in greenery in Holm House’s ceremony room which is filled with natural light. After the ceremony we took a stroll down to Penarth Pier and stopped in the gardens and on the stoney beach along the way for some photographs.... read more
Mr & Mrs Voyle- Marshfield Church & Homewood Park

Mr & Mrs Voyle- Marshfield Church & Homewood Park

Marshfield Church & Homewood Park Wedding Harriet and Adam are two of the most amazing people I have been fortunate enough to meet. I feel so privileged to have had them come into my life and to document their wedding day was an absolute pleasure. Harriet chose to get ready at her mums house in the little village of Marshfield in South Gloucestershire. Meanwhile Adam finished getting ready at the local pub in the same village right next door to the church.  The whole of Marshfield was excited to see Harriet and Adam marry in their Parish church and you could feel the buzz around village. The morning was relaxed with the girls getting ready; Pippa the flower girl (and dog!) roaming around and Harriet’s dad and brother finalising the last few details for the rest of the day. The weather just about held off all morning but just as it was time to leave to walk to the church, it started to drizzle. Harriet’s dad walked her down the aisle to a tearful Adam. It didn’t take long before everyone was welling up! After the ceremony the guests headed to the reception at Homewood Park in Bath whilst I stayed with the newlyweds for some photographs. Harriet took me and Adam to a beautiful private field where she used to walk the dogs with her mum. Over at Homewood Park, Marshfield Ice Cream van was serving up ice cream to the guests, Pippa was chasing shuttlecocks and the guests were enjoying the grounds of the venue. The food was amazing, speeches were fantastic and all the guests pretty... read more
Eleanor & Rob- Penpont House Engagement Session

Eleanor & Rob- Penpont House Engagement Session

I had such an amazing time exploring Penpont House with Eleanor and Rob for their engagement session. Eleanor grew up really close by and the owners of the house are her family friends! She used to play in the grounds surrounding the house so it only made sense to get married here too! We used this time to take a wander around the venue to show me where their wedding day will be taking place- which is so useful. We combined this with their engagement session as this place means so much to Eleanor. The grounds at Penpont House are just incredible! I could have easily spent a whole day photographing these two here. It has secret walled gardens, thick wooden doors leading to more glades, a river running through and even a maze! We spent quite a while wandering this amazing location and planning where we would go on their wedding day in September too. It’s going to be the most magical wedding at Penpont House, I can’t... read more
Kate and Mike- Durdle Door, Dorset Engagement Session

Kate and Mike- Durdle Door, Dorset Engagement Session

Durdle Door Engagement Session I met Kate and Mike for their Durdle Door engagement session on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset. Durdle Door is a natural limestone archway in the ocean near Lulworth. It really is such a beautiful part of the world! These two are getting married in Wimbourne St Giles at St Giles House next month! This venue is incredible and I’m so excited that these guys will be my first wedding here. We took  a stroll down the steep hill to the beach at Durdle Door and walked past the tourists who were still swimming even at 7pm! We had loads of fun on the beach as the sun was slowly setting. It was so beneficial to have this time with these guys as it got these two used to having their photo taken together ready for the big day. Thank you for letting me capture your Durdle Door engagement session, I can’t wait for the wedding in... read more
Hannah and Chris- Hatchet Pond, Beulieu, New Forest Engagement Session

Hannah and Chris- Hatchet Pond, Beulieu, New Forest Engagement Session

New Forest Engagement Session These two drove all the way from Bristol down to Beulieu to meet me for their New Forest engagement session at Hatchet Pond. Hannah loves the New Forest and as it’s where I’m originally from, I couldn’t say no to an engagement session there! Hatchet Pond was the perfect location, busy with tourists having BBQs and paddling on one side of the pond, but quiet and remote on the other. There were a few dog walkers, lots of cows, horses and even some swans and signets too. We took a stroll around the pond, stopped in various locations to snap some photographs. These guys are so natural at having their photo taken as they’ve had a studio session and a couple session with me before! The weather was cloudy but warm and mainly the ground was dry, but Chris had to carry Hannah over some of the more muddy sections of the terrain! We even got to paddle in the pond at the end. These guys marry at Clevedon Hall in August and I can’t... read more
Mr & Mrs Lexton-Peck- St Mary Redcliffe Church and Over Barn, Gloucester

Mr & Mrs Lexton-Peck- St Mary Redcliffe Church and Over Barn, Gloucester

Mr and Mrs Lexton-Peck, Over Barn  Hannah and Sam were married on the 9th June 2018 at the gorgeous St Mary Redcliffe church in the centre of Bristol. The church is incredible, you can’t miss it. It’s over 800 years old and a masterpiece of gothic architecture. Hannah and Sam had their beautiful ceremony here before heading off in a VW camper to Over Barn in Gloucester. These two venues couldn’t have been more different but it worked so well! Over Barn a stunning rural venue that lets you put your own stamp on it by being a blank canvas. It’s not only charming but also is the ideal backdrop for a variety of stunning wedding photos too. It has the farm, a glade of trees, winding paths, Christmas tree fields and even a couple of Emus to take photos with! It was luck that I got to work with Hannah and Sam. Their original photographer unfortunately fell ill and I was only more than happy to step in for their Over Barn wedding with 3 weeks to go! The Wedding The ceremony was focused on bringing them together as a couple. The rest of their wedding was definitely all about having fun and celebrating with their friends and families. Weddings are always packed full of amazing moments, and this one was no exception. The best man was Sam’s brother and his speech incredibly funny and heart-warming. Although it also included a rather interesting choice of an envelope full of faux poo, which led to a story about a prank that Sam had played on him when he was younger.... read more
Mr & Mrs Jones- Glewstone Court Country House, Ross-on-Wye

Mr & Mrs Jones- Glewstone Court Country House, Ross-on-Wye

Glewstone Court Country House, Ross-On-Wye Ashley and Jess had the most gorgeous wedding at Glewstone Court in Ross-on-Wye at the end of May. They met on a night out in Cardiff and 3 dogs later, they’re inseparable! They chose Glewstone Court for it’s aesthetic appeal, the country house is beautiful and overlooks a vineyard too! As they were having a smaller wedding, the house was the perfect size for them, not to mention the owners are just lovely! Jess had her make-up done by Zoe Trigwell in the morning of her wedding in Glewstone Court’s bridal suite. Her dress was from Bridal Lane and she even admitted choosing her dress was her favourite part of wedding planning! it was truly beautiful, and with a cathedral length veil to go with it too. Ashley and Jess married in downstairs in a beautiful room in the hotel which overlooked the grounds. It was a small ceremony with just their closest family and friends watching on. Even with forecaste of thunderstorms, the rain held off for us for the day allowing for photos outside during the drinks reception. The newlyweds and I headed down to the vineyard for some time away from their guests and came back to their guests with their adorable dogs! Anyone who knows me knows I love dogs, so dogs plus weddings means a super happy photographer! Jess’ dad, Ashley and the best man introduced their wedding breakfast with some heartwarming and hilarious speeches. It was so lovely to capture your amazing Glewstone Court wedding, thank you so much for sharing your day with me! Advice from the... read more
