BEST OF 2018- Honeydew Moments Wedding Photography

2018 – A Year in Review Goodbye 2018! It’s this time of year again where I can start to look back upon the past year and reflect on what Honeydew Moments has achieved! This year has been my second full year of weddings and it’s honestly been incredible. My year started off pretty crazy with my first wedding being in a snow blizzard! The ‘Beast of the East’ reared it’s head a few days before Katie and Wes’s wedding in Minchinhampton in the Cotswolds. As beautiful as The Old Lodge is, it was probably the hardest venue to get to in the snow! Luckily, I went down a day early and the guests managed to make it by being collected from local villages by people in 4X4s! Despite all this, it was a absolutely beautiful day, and certainly one to never forget!   Two weeks later I was back in the Cotswolds for Liz and Dan’s wedding, this time in glorious spring sunshine, you’d never guess it was snowing just a couple of weeks earlier! April brought a Cardiff City Centre wedding and my first destination wedding! I was so fortunate to be put in touch with Kate and Ricky, who were getting married in Mexico! They trusted me to come out to the Riviera Maya in Mexico with them for a week of sun, boat trips and even a surprise proposal by Ricky’s best man! I also managed to squeeze in an engagement session at Prior Park for Laura and Graeme! May is always my busiest month and May 2018 was no different. With 5 weddings in venues such... read more

Mr & Mrs Easton- Folly Farm Centre, Bristol

Mr & Mrs Easton- Folly Farm Wedding Hanni and Chris chose to have a Folly Farm wedding after visiting and falling in love with the venue. They’re both really outdoorsy people and loved that it’s a Wildlife Trust site as well as everything being in one place and exclusively for their wedding. Both of them are physiotherapists and they met when Chris interviewed Hanni for a job at the Bristol Royal Infirmary. They’re both really into their cycling and when I asked them to describe their relationship they said: “Fun, very happy, and mainly spent on two wheels!” Chris popped the question on Christmas Day 2017 after Hanni had opened his gift of dance lessons! This then led to talk of first dances and then he ended up on one knee! The Wedding Day I arrived at Folly Farm just as a rainbow appeared over the farm. Hanni was getting ready with her bridesmaids. Outside, her flower girl, her niece Esme, was practicing her petal throwing. Chris was getting ready with his groomsmen in the Atrium and greeting all their guests. Their friends and family are so talented and kindly gave their time to be involved in the wedding. Chris’s sister played clarinet and Hanni’s brother played keyboard as the guests arrived into the ceremony room. Hanni’s cousin-in-law Nick also sang them back down the aisle after they were wed too! Hanni’s proud father walked her down the aisle towards a beaming Chris. The ceremony was perfect, relaxed, hilarious in parts and a wonderful celebration of their love. After the ceremony we had the best confetti aisle before I... read more

Sophie and Dan- Delph Woods Engagement Session

Delph Woods Engagement Session I met Sophie and Dan for the first time at Emily and Fletchers wedding and for the second time at Kate and Mike’s wedding! Sophie and Dan asked to have their engagement session in Delph Woods. It’s a 5 minutes from their house and a place they love to come and stroll around. Delph Woods is 24 acres of beautiful woodland paths, a shallow stream with footbridges and a grassy are too. I’d never been here before, I hadn’t even heard of it, but as soon as I arrived, I fell in love! The forest is so beautiful and we were so fortunate to have chosen a chilly but sunny December morning. The sun was coming through the trees, catching the frosty air and creating these gorgeous sun beams that were out of this world. Now anyone who knows me, or who has had a shoot with me will know how much I love amazing light, especially sunlight when it does magical things. I was definitely dancing around the forest, ridiculously excited at the concept of photographing this beautiful couple in this light. They also brought their young son with them too so we could get some photographs of them as a family too. I’m so excited to capture their wedding day next year and meet their other little boy too, who unfortunately was at school when we explored Delph Woods... read more
