Lucie and Jay- Proposal Photography, Mexico

Sunrise Beach Proposal, Mexico Proposal photography is always something I’ve wanted to do. I was so pleased to be able to plan to capture this proposal on the beach. I was so happy when I found out that the best man from Kate and Ricky’s wedding was planning to propose to his girlfriend whilst abroad! We planned to get up early and head down to the beach to watch the sunrise. I got to the planned spot on the beach just before Lucie and Jay and managed to hide myself before they got there. They watched the sun rise over the ocean together. Then they took a stroll along the beach in the morning light glow where Jay got down on one knee! Lucie said yes! They walked back towards the beach bar where all their friends were waiting for them ready to celebrate with champagne! Thank you so much for letting me capture this awesome moment in your life! Kate and Ricky- Ocean Riviera Paradise, Riviera Maya, Mexico!

Destination Wedding Photography Now Kate and Ricky’s wedding was one I’d be looking forward to for such a long time! These two decided to tie the knot in the beautiful Riviera Maya for a Mexico wedding. The idea came to them after watching their friends (Ricky’s best man) get married a few years earlier in the Dominican Republic. These two have such a lovely story. They first met as family friends, as their dads are total best buddies. One night Ricky was a little bit drunk and asked Kate to go out with just him, not their families too. The rest is history! I arrived on the Monday night at the beautiful Ocean Riviera Resort. I met with Kate and Ricky on the Tuesday (by the pool over a couple of cocktails) to discuss the wedding plans- I think all client meetings should be done this way right!? The wedding morning was a crazy blur, I split my time between the girls hotel block and the boys to capture both Kate and Ricky getting ready. The Ceremony They decided to change their ceremony from the beachfront to a private rooftop terrace overlooking palm trees towards the ocean. This was such a lovely idea as it was intimate for their guests only- away from the hustle of hotel life. The glass balcony surrounded the terrace to show off the view. Kate and Ricky wed under a white gazebo at 4:30pm in gorgeous Mexican sunlight surrounded by their closest friends and family. They even finger printed on their marriage certificate for authenticity in true Mexican style! Their drinks reception was set... read more
