It’s likely the same one they have printed and framed from their own wedding day—or even your grandparents’ special day.

Most of the time, I’ll be in the background, encouraging you to focus on each other and asking you to forget I’m even there.

But every now and then, I’ll capture what I like to call a ‘Mantelpiece Photo.’

I’ve been working on this beautiful wedding all day today! 😍

Kate and Nick had such an incredible day up in the Brecon Beacons in mid-September.

They both got ready at the stunning Llangoed Hall, where the reception was due to take place later on that day.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They held their ceremony in a gorgeous quaint church that overlooks Llangorse Lake. The Welsh male voice choir sang throughout their ceremony which was such a beautiful touch.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The sun was shining all day for them and they came out of the church into the sunshine and under a flurry of confetti.

After a quick stop at the lake for some photos, we all headed back to Llangoed Hall to keep the party going.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They had some wonderful speeches that had the room in fits of laughter as well as lots of tears!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We snuck them outside mid-dinner to catch the last few rays of the sunset and wow, what a sunset they had!

These beautiful images are from S&B’s Foxhill Manor wedding day exactly a year ago today! Happy Anniversary to you both!

Sukhi & Ben had the most incredible day at the luxurious Foxhill Manor in the Cotswolds.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sukhi got ready with her girls in the most beautiful room complete with four poster and double baths overlooking the views! She wore Suzanne Neville with a detachable small jacket - gorgeous!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ben was just upstairs getting ready with his boys in his autumnal green suit and floral tie.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tara, a wonderful celebrant, lead their ceremony and it was perfect, with anecdotes from their relationship together so far, lovely readings and the most heartwarming personal vows.

They walked out of Foxhill Manor under a flurry of confetti before enjoying their celebrations.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After a cloudy day, a sunset was the last thing we expected but the sun broke through the clouds and we ran out for a golden 5 minutes just to see the sun set over the far-reaching views over the Cotswolds - swipe to see!

Of course! I’ll direct you through the entire session, whether that’s your engagement session or your wedding couple portraits, so you never have to worry what you’re supposed to do next!

Here’s my top tips to get the best couple photos!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Smile when you’re talking to each other
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You’ll do a lot of chatting together on the shoot, it calms nerves and sometimes I’ll prompt you to talk about a certain thing. When you do this keep smiling as you chat!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. Always keep contact with each other and keep it moving
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’re walking, hold hands or put your arms around each other to keep the contact between you. If you’re in a static position then cuddle up and rub each others arms or sway together to keep it moving and flowing. It will feel less awkward and it looks much better in your photos!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
3. Trust the process
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I might ask you to do certain things that initially sounds really weird, but just go with it. The idea is you do the silly thing I ask you to do, you laugh about it, and I capture the laughter! This way your photos are really natural and show you guys just being you!

Being in this place felt like I was on another planet: the dramatic valleys, fairy-chimneys and whimsical rock formations were so surreal.
