My first wedding of 2025 was incredble, the perfect start to the year!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The day started early at Sukhi’s family home in Slough. So early that it was still dark when I arrived! 😅
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Upstairs, Sukhi was getting ready, while downstairs, the men were having their turbans tied which was a very cool process to witness.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Once the couple were ready, we headed to a gorgeous formal gardens where the greenery perfectly complemented their vibrant orange outfits 🧡🌿
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Next it was time for the ceremony so we went to the Gurdwara Temple. Around a hundred guests, mostly all from Sukhi’s family dressed up for the occasion.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
They took part in their traditional Sikh religious ceremony surrounded by family and full of tradition.

This was the first Sikh wedding I’d captured and I loved every minute of it!

It was such a special day - I truly feel honoured that Sukhi and Ben asked me to be their wedding photographer for a second time and capture this day for them too! 🥰

Back in October 2023, Sukhi and Ben celebrated their love with a breathtaking hand-fasting ceremony at Foxhill Manor in the Cotswolds. It was a day filled with so much joy, topped off by the most magical sunset over the rolling countryside (swipe to see!)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But this was just the start…
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Last month, I got the most wonderful and unexpected message from Sukhi:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“This feels so surreal, but will you be our wedding photographer again!!? We couldn’t dream of having anyone else there! This one feels extra special as it’s for the religious ceremony at the Sikh temple.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Their first wedding was a classic British celebration, complete with a beautiful white dress and all the traditions.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tomorrow, I have the honour of capturing their second wedding—a vibrant Sikh ceremony that will embrace Sukhi’s culture, her family’s traditions, and the beauty of their love in a whole new way 💛
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To be trusted not once, but twice to document their love story is such an incredible honour. I can’t wait to see these two celebrate their union again, in a way that holds so much cultural and personal significance.

But I promise, you won’t think those things afterwards.

I’ve got all the best tricks up my sleeves for getting you guys to be comfortable with each other and with me too.

From silly little games to play with each other to funny things to reminisce about, you’ll actually forget you’re having your photo taken!

I also make sure to steal you away to quiet spots around your venue where none of your guests can see you 👀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And if any guest tries to follow us I promptly tell them to get back to the wedding! Nobody needs an audience for those romantic couple photos!

This is especially important if you’re the groom, best man, groomsman, usher or just someone who knows they’re about to be in formal family photos.

You’ve likely spent money on a nice suit that fits you really well or you may even have got it tailored specifically to you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Well, that perfect fit goes out the window the second you put a bulky wallet, a big bunch of keys and your phone into your trouser pockets.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Pro tip: use your inside jacket pocket for your essentials. Keep those trouser pockets flat and free—because weird bulges in a suit are not the vibe 😅
