Tortworth Court Orangery Wedding Blessing – Mr & Mrs Saunders

Nicola and Thomas finally got their big Tortworth Court Orangery wedding of their dreams, two years after they legally married in a covid-safe micro wedding at the same venue!

Check out their micro wedding here!

It was so lovely to see them and their families again, it’s not often we get to do it twice! This time around, they had many more guests including someone really special – their son Edward.

They’ve started their own family since tying the knot in 2020 and it was so nice to have Edward getting ready with Nicola in the morning. He even played a big part in their ceremony blessing too.

The Ceremony

They decorated their Tortworth Court Orangery wedding with simple white and green flowers. The Orangery is so stunning by itself, it doesn’t take much to decorate it.

Nicola and Thomas opted for a celebrant lead ceremony and it was perfect. They lit 3 candles to symbolise the two of them and Edward within the marriage. It was so special to have all their guests there as last time there was only 11 who attended!

The Reception

After the ceremony, the three of them walked through their confetti tunnel and over to the drinks reception at the back of the hotel by the band stand. They had an acoustic guitarist and garden games to entertain the guests too. The weather just about held out for them, there was a little but of drizzle but it stayed mostly dry.

The wedding breakfast was back in the Orangery at Tortworth Court and decorated with blush tall candles and green and white flowers- classic and elegant.

The Evening

Despite the drizzle earlier, we got a gorgeous sunset so I stole the couple away for some sunset photographs after their wedding meal. They cut the cake and did their first dance as the summer sun streamed through the Orangery windows.
