Being a Syrencot House recommended photographer means I’ve found all the secret spots for the best photos! I know where the light hits just right and at what time too.

So here’s my Syrencot top photography inspiration locations!

Syrencot House Photo Ideas

Syrencot House in Wiltshire is so beautiful, it’s one of my favourite venues because, well, look at it! It’s so photogenic! The white pillars outside the front door make for a gorgeous backdrop to your wedding photos.

The Driveway

The driveway is a great spot for photos if you want to include the main house in the background!

The Secret Door

The secret door is in a brick wall, covered in foliage to the right hand side of the main house. There’s a little step down to the door and it’s so cute!

The Secret Garden

If you venture through the secret door, you’ll come across a small secret garden! There’s cute stepping stones, a bench and at the right time of year has pink roses! The perfect photo opportunity awaits!

The Brick Entrance

On your way into the walled garden is a lovely brick entrance. Syrencot have updated this recently (2022) with a wooden gate which can be open or closed.

The Walled Garden

The walled garden at Syrencot is a stunning place for photos. Your guests will use this area for your drinks reception so the best time to make use of it for your couple photos is just after your guests have gone in to find their seats for the wedding breakfast. You’ll have 10 mins at this point to make the most of this epic Syrencot photo spot.

The Glasshouse and Wooden Pergola

Within the walled garden, you can also use the glasshouse where you had your ceremony as a backdrop too! There’s a wooden pergola just infront of it which can be decorated with flowers by your florist if there aren’t any already.

Behind The Farmshed

Behind the Farmshed, accessed from the main driveway is a lovely photo spot at sunset. You get to see the Farmshed in all it’s glory from the side angle rather than just from the front.

Central Grass Island

The grassy bank between the main house and the Farmshed is a gorgeous photo spot at Syrencot! It’s also a great place to get the last of the summer sun too.

The Field

The Field is on your left hand side as you first drive into Syrencot’s driveway. It’s completely depends on the time of year but very occasionally the grass is left long and it looks beautiful!

The Fallen Log

This is such a cute hidden gem of a location, the sun sets just behind and it’s the perfect photo spot for sunset couple photos!

The Master Suite – A rainy day Syrencot photo spot!

This is a fantastic option if you’ve got a rainy wedding day and still want lovely photos without getting wet!
