Meg and James got married at the Glasshouse in Syrencot’s grounds, which is a stunning conservatory venue in Salisbury with a pretty garden. It was such a fun wedding and even the rain didn’t dampen the day!
They met at University in Bristol as they lived in the room next door to each other in halls! They’ve been together for 11 years already so it was high time they tied the knot!
The Proposal
“We were on holiday in the Dominican Republic. James put my engagement ring in bottom of glass of champagne! We were on the hotel balcony which he had decorated with rose petals everywhere!”

The ceremony – Syrencot House Wedding Photography
The ceremony was a beautiful service in a walled garden. Pod and Pip did the flowers but James, the Groom, is a keen gardener and had also been busy growing flowers which were used all over their wedding. It was so beautiful!
During the morning the weather was drizzly so instead of the planned outside ceremony, they decided to get married inside the glasshouse. This was such a good decision as it was so beautiful!
Meg’s proud dad walked her down the long outside aisle to James who was waiting for them in the glasshouse. They also had the sweetest page boy and flower girl, not to mention the beautiful bridesmaids too.
The Reception
They left their wedding ceremony under a long line of guests throwing confetti over them as the sun came out! John Prescott sang and entertained the guests during the drinks reception and Jack Brista (The Luxury Magician) kept the guests entertained too!
The reception was in The Farmshed on the grounds. The speeches had everyone in tears as well as laughter – it was an emotional day!
The evening brought space hopper races and a competitive limbo tournament that even involved a trip to A&E for one of the guests!
They cut their cake and danced outside before the sun graciously gave us the most beautiful sunset!
