Woodland Wedding on a Welsh Farm, Morfa Farm – Mr & Mrs Blincoe

Rachel and Sam had the most magical wedding at their own home on a beautiful Saturday in May. They moved from Ringwood in Hampshire to West Wales to live on Morfa Farm. They knew instantly they wanted to have their wedding on their own land.

“Because everything we love is on our doorstep! But actually, it’s been incredible knowing that everything we’ve done for this one day will actually stay with us forever, in our forever home!”

They met many years ago but were always just very good friends. When they eventually did get together all their friends were overjoyed for them and there was certainly a huge sigh of “Finally!” from them too!

The Wedding Day

Rachel got ready at the nearby Kings Head Inn with her bridesmaids, bridesmate and mum too! She took a landrover back to the farm to walk down the tree lined aisle with her step-dad. This moment was especially touching as her step-dad had been in hospital just days earlier. It was unsure if he would be well enough to attend the wedding at all!

The ceremony was beautiful and personal. Sam’s dad played guitar and Sam’s sister sang them down the aisle before their family friend conducted the lovely service.

“The song that will be playing when Rachel walks down the aisle is ‘When The Right One Comes Along’ from the Nashville soundtrack. Other than being a beautiful song, country music and the songs from that show were a soundtrack to us falling in love.”

All the guests handed the rings around to grant their well wishes upon before the couple exchanged them. They left their woodland wedding under a sword arch into their confetti. After the ceremony the guests searched the forest for personalised love spoons.

“Relaxed, rustic, woodland, nature inspired. Our aim was always to make it about the people. Rather than the ‘wow factor’ of a spectacular venue or dress.”

The afternoon bought games in the garden, an amazing reception in a game of thrones style marquee and heartfelt speeches where the whole room was in tears!

We snuck away to a field with their Live Action Role Play swords for some amazing sunset photographs.

They had the best Caperceilidh Band for the evening who had everyone up dancing and having fun.

Thank you so much for letting me capture your incredible woodland wedding day!
