St Giles House, Wimborne St Giles, Dorset
St Giles House at Wimborne St Giles is one of those really special venues. It feels elegant and opulent without being pretentious. It’s the most beautiful place to hold a wedding. It even has an underground dancefloor to really get the party started!
Kate and Mike chose to marry at this amazing venue and it suited them perfectly. The girls got ready in the Japan Room upstairs whilst Mike and his groomsmen put the finishing touches to downstairs and welcomed their guests. The ceremony took place in the dining room, with exposed rafters and walls covered in oil paintings. It was a truly magical setting!
Drinks and canapés were had overlooking the grounds before sitting down for dinner in the grand library.
Dusk came and brought a gorgeous sunset and a trip into the grotto in the grounds. The grotto is full of shells imported from St Lucia and it’s an amazing thing to see.
Kate and Mike had their first dance in the wine cellar basement before getting the glow stick and UV paint out to really get the party in full swing!
In case you couldn’t tell, I’m totally in love with this venue. I feel so honoured to have photographed Kate and Mike’s St Giles House wedding!
