This Sopley Mill Wedding may have been the rainiest yet, but it was so much fun!
Gina and Rob met when Gina’s manager at the time set her up on a blind date 6 years ago!
They got engaged on the jurassic coastline, one of their favourite places to visit.
“We went on one our of favourite beach walks. Then found a swing and he said: ‘Did you like the swing when you were little?” Rob then got down on one knee and said: ‘Did you ever think you would be proposed to on a swing?’
He took out a ring that he had made from a fossil that he found when he was a little boy! Then he booked me an appointment at a family jewellers so I could design my own ring.”
Gina and Rob chose a Sopley Mill wedding as the thought the river was beautiful, the building pretty and the fact it is quiet and tucked away. They also loved the fact that they could spend the whole day at the venue and not need to travel anywhere.
The weather was set for downpours all day but that didn’t bother this outdoorsy couple. I asked Gina how she was feeling about the weather and she replied: “I do music festivals all the time, this is fine, let’s embrace it!”
She got ready in the bridal suite with her bridesmaids before walking down her jungle theme aisle to Rob. They wanted to incorporate the fossil ring Rob initially proposed with, so they used fossils as decorations throughout the venue. Gina’s nan made them their wedding cake which also has fossils on!
Gina and Rob love to party and especially love Ibiza. Their evening reception was homage to that. They had palm trees on the dance floor, limbo, a rave station with flashing glasses, glow sticks and lollipops and even a wonderful lady doing glow in the dark glitter make-up for the guests too!
Such a fantastic day and evening, huge thank you for letting me capture your amazing Sopley Mill wedding day!
