I had the best few days capturing this French wedding at Les Sines in Montaigu-de-Quercy at the end of May. Les Sines is a stunning manoir set in the open countryside.
“Les Sines is in a privileged region of France called the Quercy. An hour from Toulouse, in the rolling countryside that is bathed in golden light and perfumed with lavender, the Quercy is a protected, unpopulated, principally agricultural territory.”
Katie and Joe met when they were introduced by a mutual friend at a charity ball. Fast forward a few years and Joe popped the question in Bologna followed by lots of Italian prosecco!
They chose Les Sines as their French wedding venue because:
“It’s just outrageously beautiful and in the middle of nowhere – it has beautiful blue french shutters and a typical French feel about it. Plus it was dry hire so we can really add our own touches. Perfect!”
The French Wedding Day
The wedding day was perfect, despite the days leading up to it being a total wash out, the sun shone all day for us!
Katie got ready with her bridesmaids in a lounge area in one of the beautiful french buildings. Her sister did her make-up and she had hired a hair stylist to come and do everyones hair. Joe was getting ready in the main house with his brothers and both of their dads. Katie’s dad came over before the ceremony and burst into tears as he saw Katie in her dress! That promptly set off her mum and even her sister too!
The ceremony was in the gardens to the side of the main house. Katie and her dad walked down the aisle to Nick playing the saxophone. Joe’s godfather officiated the wedding which made it all the more personal. They left the ceremony and headed under the wisteria to be showered with dried flower confetti!
The guests headed down to the terrace by the pool and next to the cherry orchard for drinks and canapés. The saxophonist played whilst the guests enjoyed their drinks with views over the fields. The setting was absolutely stunning!
They ate on one long trestle table on the terrace after some amazing speeches which had all the guests in fits of giggles and plenty of tears too!
The evening brought crazy table tennis tournaments, insane French sunsets in cornfields, cutting the cheese cake, a bonfire outside and some mental dancing featuring the tambourine usually kept in the bar!
What an incredible day! I feel so honoured to have been the one to capture this French wedding and for getting the chance to meet both Katie and Joe’s lovely families!

“Natasha has been absolutely incredible from the first moment of contact right up until delivery of our wedding photos.
We flew Natasha out to France for our wedding in May and she immediately got stuck in (not only with her photography but also with the setting up of the venue and offering her creative eye). When Natasha left, we felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend, not just someone we’d hired to photograph our wedding.
Natasha was a wonderful influence on the day or our wedding – she made everyone feel calm and at ease in front of the camera. She was unobtrusive when taking un-posed photos – which are absolutely beautiful. We can also understand now why she has been nicknamed ‘The Queen of Sunsets’!
The photos Natasha has provided are just incredible. Her editing is soft and romantic and she does everything she can to make sure she gets the best images. We would not hesitate to recommend Natasha to anyone looking for a photographer for their event – you won’t regret it.
Thank you Natasha – for everything. You’re a hero 💛”
