I loved this Folly Farm Centre autumn wedding that Clair and John planned in October.
They met through work almost 13 years ago and things blossomed at a mutual friends wedding!
“In September 2011, we both went to a mutual friend’s wedding where they had a free bar! We had a few too many drinks followed by some sort of drunken conversation about how much we liked each other and that was where it all started!”
John proposed to Clair at midnight on New Year’s Eve, after they’d spent the evening together relaxing at their home.
They chose a Folly Farm Centre autumn wedding because they had family coming from all over the UK and wanted them to have somewhere to stay. The farm also lets you have use for the entire weekend so it’s a weekend-long celebration too.
The Wedding Day
Clair got ready at Folly Farm’s bridal suite with her bridesmaids. Clair’s mum helped her into her beautiful wedding dress before her dad emotionally came into see her.
The ceremony was short and sweet with some brilliant readings too. They walked out under a shower of confetti and headed to the atrium for their speeches. They cut their wedding cake in the atrium and served it up with their afternoon tea canapés- brilliant idea!
I stole Clair and John away for a wander around Folly Farm’s beautiful grounds whilst a guest had prepared some games for the children to enjoy and the adults to watch on.
After the wedding breakfast the party got started with some live music from Damson Sky Duo. The rain that had held off all day started to come down once it was dark too. This meant we could get some night-time rain photos too!
Such a lovely day at this Folly Farm Centre autumn wedding!

“Natasha is such a wonderful photographer; from the moment we saw her sample photos we just knew that we wanted her to capture our wedding! We particularly loved the absolutely stunning photos she takes in the sun and rain, so we knew whatever the weather did on our wedding day, Natasha would have it covered!
She offers an amazing service, which makes everything so easy from start to finish. We had a couple of skype calls initially to get to know each other and talk through what we wanted and then visited the venue with her about a month before the actual day to make final arrangements. On the day, she is super organised and carries almost everything you need in her magic bag plus a lot of things you never even thought of.
One of my biggest concerns was having wedding photos that looked too posed, especially as I hate having my photo taken. I needn’t have worried, as on the day, Natasha captured everything beautifully, in a lovely natural, relaxed style. She did an amazing job of gathering everyone for formal photos and making sure that they were looking lovely, even reminding people to take off their tinted glasses! It was lovely having Natasha spend the whole day with us – she was always there when you needed her and then seemed to blend into the background the rest of the time, so much so that we didn’t notice her taking photos most of the time.
Overall, we couldn’t have been happier with our wedding photos and would highly recommend Natasha. You won’t be disappointed!”
