Japan in under one minute! 🇯🇵

Words cannot describe what this trip meant to me. Japan is a destination I’ve been dreaming of visiting for 15 years! 🥹

I finally took myself for my 30th birthday and it was everything I wanted and more!

Crossing Shibuya crossing at rush hour, witnessing Mount Fuji in all her glory, Onsen-hopping in the snow, staying with monks in their temple, photographing the snow monkeys, eating rainbow candy floss in Harajuku, 6am wanderings in the geisha district, walking under the thousand torii gates at Fushimi Inari Shrine, squeezing into tiny Izakaya bars in Tokyo, collecting goshuin calligraphy temple stamps, cuddling micro pigs, driving through the Tokyo streets in real life Mario kart, listening to the bamboo in Arashyama bamboo grove, posing for Purikura photo booths, eating all of the ramen and finishing up with seeing the cherry blossoms. UNREAL.

Japan has my heart like no other place I’ve ever visited ❤️

💛 Pick somewhere we can talk a walk, as we walk the light and backdrop changes for more variety
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💛 Don’t choose somewhere known to be super popular with tourists as we’ll be fighting with them for the best spots.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
💛 Think about where the sun sets in the location you’ve chosen. If you’re picking a location for a specific view in one spot, make sure the sun is where you need it to be.

💛 Choose somewhere personal to you if you can. That way your photos will mean so much more to you if it’s in a spot you love to visit together.

It’s so interesting to me how people like different things when it comes to photography. It’s so subjective and incredibly personal to you.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When I deliver black and white images in your gallery it’s usually for two reasons:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. I think the image calls for black and white, it allows for the emotions to play a big role when the colour is removed.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
2. I’ve given you a very similar image in colour but I equally love it in black and white so you get both!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
