I first met with Amy and Sean in the winter in rural pub in South Wales. We chatted wedding plans and photography styles over drinks whilst we got to know each other. The pair live local to me in South Wales with their two adorable cats, who I’m sure would be attending the wedding if it was possible! They got engaged after Sean decorated their entire house in candles and waiting for Amy to come back from work. They decided on April for their wedding at the stunning Berwick Lodge in Bristol. Berwick Lodge is a luxury 5* hotel and restaurant set within 18 acres of woodland on top of a hill, yet not a stones throw from the city.
First of all, we started by taking a walk around the venue, and what a venue! Its rooms are decorated in a sophisticated country-house style. Each room is unique and mirrors the grandness of the Anatolian period. Huge sleigh beds and open fire places are featured in every room. I’m so excited to be shooting their wedding here at the start of April!
We took a stroll around the beautiful grounds and found some great background for photographs, for the engagement shoot and also the wedding day! I had such a lovely time shooting Amy and Sean on a bright March day. The pair we’re initially nervous to have their photograph taken together as they had never done anything like this before. But after a few minutes, they both relaxed and we had a brilliant morning wandering around in the grounds together.
