Beaulieu Treehouse Wedding- Mr & Mrs Donnelly

Holly and Ben had the most magical Beaulieu Treehouse Wedding at the start of October. It was an autumn dream with crunchy leaves, hot chocolate over a campfire and speeches outside wrapped under blankets. They chose this venue because: “We are into the outdoors, autumn, and live near woodland. We love the woods and are into mushroom spotting and walks in our wellies. So an outdoorsy woodlandy spot suited us!”

They have the most incredible love story:

“We both carefully considered each other’s Tinder profiles for quite some time before swiping right. I think it’s almost fate that I added this to my profile: ‘when people ask how we met, I’m saying Tinder. This is 2016 not 1996 and we don’t need to pretend we bumped into each other in a coffee shop!’. And I took it off after a few hours thinking it sounded too negative. Then when me and Ben were together and were discussing why we had swiped each other right. He mentioned that quote and that he liked it and it was a big factor. So maybe if I’d taken it off sooner or never done it, we wouldn’t be here right now!”

The Proposal

They were together 3 years before Ben planned the most thoughtful proposal. Ben asked his Grandma for her old engagement ring. Next, he asked Holly’s mum, who is a jeweller, to clean it up for him. Ben asked Holly to be his wife on a freezing cold night whilst camping under the stars in Devon.

The Wedding Day

Holly got ready in a beautiful house she had hired with her bridesmaids, her mum and Holly and Ben’s newborn baby, Jack, too. She wore a beautiful pink lace wedding dress and sparkly rainbow wellies! Her bridesmaids were all in various shades of green which was perfect for the forest theme.

Jay and Morgan, Holly’s children also had wellies to go with their wedding outfits too!

They had a quirky ceremony. The guests sat on multicoloured mis-matched chairs and fairy lights hung from the ceiling of the treehouse. Having a Beaulieu Treehouse Wedding is so magical and it did not disappoint.

They had their speeches surrounding a campfire deep in the forest with mulled cider and hot chocolate simmering away over the flames. Everyone was wrapped up in blankets and huddled together to keep warm in the chilly October air.

The whole day was full of quirkiness and magic! Thank you so much for letting me capture your amazing Beaulieu Treehouse Wedding!
