Bailey Jones- Newborn Photography

Newborn Photography It’s not often I get to do a newborn session but I absolutely loved it. I was originally contacted by Claire to photograph her wedding day in June 2017. The venue was booked and Dom and Claire were in the midst of wedding planning. But baby Bailey had other ideas! Claire found out she was pregnant so they decided to postpone the wedding until Bailey could come too. Instead we set up a newborn session with their latest edition to their little family. Bailey was a dream to photograph! After two lots of milk and some cwtches from mum and dad he settled down and fell right to sleep- exactly what we wanted him to do. Bailey was a great age for a newborn session, at only 13 days old! We used the natural light in their home and included Bailey’s favourite toys too. Claire had purchased the sweetest wicker basket and Dom had his beloved Arsenal football shirt ready to use in the photos too! I even managed to persuade mum and dad to get in for a few shots too. It was a pleasure photographing little Bailey for his newborn session, hopefully I’ll be seeing him again at their postponed...

Mr & Mrs Redfern- Winchester Royal Military Wedding, Hampshire

This Winchester Royal Military Wedding was an absolute pleasure to photograph! Carly and Craig have the best ‘how we met’ story. They initially met online and shortly after Craig was badly injured in Afghanistan. Carly drove all the way up to Grimsby from Winchester to meet him for the first time for what she thought would be a romantic date. But Craig had other ideas and surprised her with a full-on roast dinner with his entire family! “He proposed on our first holiday in Portugal in a pub!! He said he never wanted to be without me so should we get married!”   I first met Carly and Craig at their venue of Winchester Royal Hotel back in October 2016. They introduced me to their adorable daughter, Bea, and showed me round the city centre venue. Their venue was perfect for them as it was close to the station for their family coming from all over and had rooms for them to stay in for the whole weekend too! The venue kindly offers military discount and with a gorgeous garden that size in the centre of Winchester, they couldn’t resist! The next time we met was for their engagement shoot at Wolvesey Castle in May 2017. Check it out here! The castles theme carried on until their wedding day where their table names were castles they’ve visited local to them. The seating plan was a map of these castles too made by Studio Campbell. The Wedding Day They married on the Bank Holiday weekend of August 26th and luckily it was a sunny one! On the wedding day I spent the morning...

Charlotte and Paul- Frensham Pond Engagement Shoot, Surrey

Frensham Pond Engagement Shoot, Surrey I met again with Charlotte and Paul, this time for their engagement shoot. We’d met previously for them to show me around their stunning wedding venue of Cain Manor in Surrey. This time, we met at Frensham Pond Hotel also in Surrey. The hotel sits right on Frensham Pond– which is more like a lake really! It has gorgeous outdoor seating, perfect for a drink and a catch-up before we went on to shoot. This location was a photographers dream! Honestly! One location and you have gorgeous driftwood fences, a beautiful freshwater pond, ducks and swans. Plus deep forest areas, gorgeous purple heather, hidden boardwalks within the forest not to mention the beach and sand dunes too! There were plenty of options; we could have spent the whole day here easily. Choosing to shoot at 6pm meant we had 2 hours of the most gorgeous light to play with. Anyone who knows me or who has shot with me should know I get pretty excited when there is gorgeous light around. These guys dealt with my ‘sunlight geekness’ wonderfully and I got to try out my new glass prisms too. These reflect the light in unusual angles to create sparkles and magic! We found this hidden boardwalk whilst getting lost in the forest, Paul climbed a tree and they both got in the pond! All in all a successful pre-wedding shoot I’d say! This wonderful location is also only 3 miles from their wedding venue of Cain Manor. When their wedding comes around in May next year, you may see some lovely wedding photos of these...

Mr & Mrs Gourlay- Bryngarw House Wedding- A Blessing of Dragons and Unicorns

Bryngarw House Wedding- A Blessing of Dragons and Unicorns Kayley and Ally met in such a unique way, they first got talking on a travel forum. Ally was working away in Qatar at the time and was based in Scotland when he was back in the UK. So they couldn’t physically meet for a while, when they did, Ally drove the 8 hours from Scotland to Wales and they’ve been together ever since! Their proposal was just as romantic too! “Ally had initially wanted to propose to me at the Griffith observatory in Los Angeles. Unbeknownst to him, on the night he chose there was an event that made it free to the public! After being stuck in traffic for quite a while Ally suggested we just stop further down the road and get out to walk up on one of the hills. At the top Ally gave me a card and read me a poem he’s written and asked me to marry him underneath the Hollywood sign.” The Wedding The pair had a Bryngarw House Wedding in Bridgend, South Wales. The venue is nestled within it’s own 113 acre country park and surrounded by the river Garw. It’s a truly gorgeous place to marry with the ceremony room decorated in a French style, the multicultural theme for the wedding fit right in. Bryngawr House suited the couple as they had guests coming all the way from Scotland and needed somewhere that could accommodate them too. The morning was relaxed with the girls having their hair and make-up done in the bridal suite. Kayley chose coral bridesmaid dresses to match the stationary...

Mr & Mrs Porter- Bulford Camp- Military Wedding

Bulford Camp Military Wedding Anna and Mark met in York at a Mess Games function whilst both working in the Army. Being based at Bulford camp they chose to have their ceremony at St George’s church on Bulford camp base and held their reception at the officers mess! As they met in a mess it only made sense, plus cheap alcohol woohoo! Mark chose New Years Eve to propose to Anna whilst they were at home with all the children. He put the ring in her champagne as they were toasting midnight! Anna almost swallowed the ring as Mark got down on one knee! The Wedding Day The morning started in a beauty salon where the girls got their hair and make-up done ready for the big day. After fuelling up on McDonalds breakfast and champagne they took a minibus back to Anna and Marks house to finish getting ready. St George’s Church at Bulford is so picturesque and the sun shone down on it for the wedding. Anna was walked down the aisle by her son to A Thousand Years by Piano Guys. It’s such an emotional song and even more so when it’s this piano version. Both their boys did a reading each which was personal and heartwarming. After the ceremony we walked over to the reception as it was only next door! Drinks were had outside in the grounds as the weather was glorious. The children were a big part of the wedding and the couple had organised two bouncy castles as well as a face paint artist too! Anna and Mark danced to The One...
