Hotel Terravina Wedding Showcase- New Forest, Hampshire

On a glorious sunny Saturday in March, Hotel TerraVina held their first wedding showcase! The hotel is nestled within the New Forest with it’s award winning food and incredible service, it makes the perfect place for your intimate wedding. Remember I photographed a beautiful wedding here last year? Read all about it here! The wedding showcase was a success! Couples, mothers and daughters, brides and friends all flocked to the sunny hotel to visit Terravina’s first wedding showcase. The hotel looked so inviting in the afternoon glow- especially the outdoor pool! The showcase was friendly and welcoming due to having one supplier per service and no hard sell. With drink flowing and the low buzz of wedding chatter, it made for the perfect backdrop to imagine your special day held at the TerraVina. The hotel has always been licensed to hold wedding ceremonies but not any people know this as it’s firstly an incredible restaurant. The showcase was a way to let everyone know that you can get married at this bespoke hotel too. The showcase is set to be an annual event, possibly even bi-annual! The suppliers tables and set-ups looked beautiful and everyone was so friendly and welcoming, a perfect wedding showcase! Alfie Mountford- Romsey Newborn Photography

I’m fortunate enough to have the most brilliant best friend who has the sweetest newborn son! You can see photographs from her baby shower here where Alfie was just a bump! After a quick lighting test with her super cute pooch, we managed to settle baby Alfie on a makeshift studio to get some high key photographs on a white fluffy blanket. Usually newborn shoots are done whilst the baby is under 14 days old, however, the last time I was in the area to photograph Alfie, he was poorly so we had to rearrange. Baby Alfie is now five weeks old and wouldn’t fall asleep for his photoshoot but he has gorgeous navy blue eyes so we didn’t mind too much 🙂 After the set on the white, his beautiful mother cradled him in her arms before he eventually fell to sleep.   “Let him sleep, for when he wakes he will move mountains”   Baby...

Mr & Mrs Arnold- The King Arthur Hotel, Gower, South Wales

I was fortunate enough to second shoot at the King Arthur Hotel with Lauren from Lauren Amelia Photography on a very foggy day in mid-March. The wind was bitter and the fog heavy but it made for a magical backdrop for this Welsh wedding. The pair had been dating for 17 years already, and decided to choose their anniversary for their wedding date! I mean you can’t expect Richard to learn a whole new anniversary can you!? The pair wed in The King Arthur Hotel in Gower, South Wales in a room sparkling with fairy lights. The whole day was beautiful from start to finish; from the hessian and lace decor to the floral table names. During the incredible wedding breakfast, myself and Lauren had chance to experiment with the wedding rings, a champagne bucket, a phone torch and lots of water! The speeches we’re emotional and the evening guests arrived just in time to get the party started. Thanks to Lauren, Richard and Charlotte for having me along to their wedding at The King Arthur Hotel for the...

Amy’s Story- With a heavy heart- South Wales Wedding Photography

If you keep up to date with my blog posts, you’ll already be in the loop. If this is your first time here, please feel free to read this post to understand more. It’s with a heavy heart and a lump in my throat I have to say these words. Amy Jones, the beautiful, courageous woman who has been fighting so hard to beat cancer, has passed on. Originally, other local suppliers and I had come together to create Amy’s dream Vow Renewal to tick it off her bucket list. Unfortunatley, on Sunday 5th March 2017, the day we had agreed she would renew her vows, Amy lost her battle. I can only imagine what her family and friends must be going through at this difficult time, and here at Honeydew Moments, I can only only give my support and thoughts to everyone who knew her. I only met her once, but she made such an impression on me, her smile was infectious and her bravery shone through, no matter what. She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a wife and a complete inspiration. Rest In peace Amy, you’ve grown your wings now.
