Mr & Mrs Waring- Hotel TerraVina New Forest Hampshire Wedding Photography

It’s one thing photographing a clients wedding, it’s an entirely different ball-game photographing a family members! I was fortunate enough to be asked by my own mother to capture her intimate second wedding day to my [now] step-dad, Andy. They have been together for as long as I can remember and finally decided it was time (17 years later!) to tie the knot for real, and thus, Ali Ford became Mrs Waring! May 6th came round before we knew it and finally it was the wedding day! Ali wanted a relaxed morning as the intimate ceremony-only 20 people- wasn’t until 3pm. The sun was shining, the new baby granddaughter was smiling and the dog (Murphy) was utterly oblivious to what was going to happen later in the day. Ali, with the help of her myself and my sister, put on her gorgeous wedding dress and jewellery and left for the wedding venue, TerraVina Hotel in the New Forest, Hampshire. Ali and Andy married surrounded by only their close friends, family and Murphy of course who was the ring bearer. Murphy did a fantastic job of coming up to the top of the aisle with the rings tied around his neck on a yellow ribbon.I’ve never seen two people smile so much for an entire day! After the ceremony we all had canap├ęs on the terrace in the late afternoon sun whilst the room was redecorated for dinner. TerraVina hotel is a hidden gem in the depths of the New Forest recognised for its fantastic food and wines which is why it was chosen as the location for Mr and...

Ali’s Crafty Hen Do- The Crafty Hen – Hen Do Photography

On the 23rd April, Ali, the Bride-to-be, invited all her closest girly friends and family down to Romsey for a fun filled hen party of crafts and pimms! As a bride getting married for the second time, Ali didn’t want a standard Hen party. She really wanted a fun day where all the women who had been invited to this intimate wedding could meet each other before the wedding. The Crafty Hen provides unique workshops all over the UK for special events and it was perfect for Ali’s Hen Do as she didn’t want the usual L plates fiasco. Fortunately, her best friend, Sarah, was there to provide the Ann-Summers-esque phallic patterned veils and a blow-up man, just incase she changed her mind! The day started with a huge jug of summery Pimms, home-made cakes and brownies by Ali’s friends and afternoon tea out of gorgeous china teacups before settling down to some crafty business. The ladies could make fascinators, broaches or hair bands out of multiple fabrics and buttons provided by The Crafty Hen. Such a good idea for this crafty lot! Later, Ali was crowned with her cheeky veil and after a few giggles, they walked through town to get to the restaurant for a meal out. They certainly got a few car honks along the way as they skipped through town with their blow up naked man! At the restaurant they were the noisiest table and of course were the last ones to leave! Thank you for having me to your wonderful Hen Party Ali. I’m really looking forward to shooting your beautiful wedding next month! Enjoy...
